Two Quick Questions

I've done a quick search for answers to these, both on the wiki and in the forums, but I haven't found anything that really explains anything yet, so I thought I'd make a post. Sorry if these are a bit "newby-ish."

1. What do the succor line of spells do? My druid has Lesser Succor and will soon get the Succor of Badlands, etc line of spells, but I haven't seen anyone describe the spell in detail enough to know if they are worth buying. How is it different from group teleports?

2. Fear was just implemented, but what does it do? The most I can find is that there are several fear spells in the game and that it makes things run from you.

Succor is another word for evac. Standard succor will port your group to the zone in. Succor's for specific zone's are just port spells with no recast so you can mem and cast immediately to get out fast.
 
Also, in some zones succor will take you to the safe spot of the zone, rather than the zone in.

The spells are extremely worth it, as most druids will use succor a heck of a lot throughout their time on the server.
