Trying to get SoD working

But when i load into the server I can't use my keyboard. No hail, no movement, nothing, can only use mouse movements. Goofy stuff.

Also, I have 8 gigs of RAM but the game only recognizes 4 and I have a GTX460 video card, yet it makes me only choose 2 of the new models. Wtf is going on here, is this indicative of the entire server experience or is this just a goofy glitch?

You might have been key bugged, which happens occasionally.

The client used for this game is at least seven years old. I'm surprised it recognizes more then two gigs of ram.

The models relate to a preset made by the vendor, probably to lower support costs to customers. You can enable them by changing false to true next to the races in the file eqclient.ini in your eq folder. The line above the races which is
dontloadluclin models should remain false.

But as advice, most of the new models and their animations aren't that great.
 
Sometimes this happens to me and if i press the ALT key a few times, control is restored.
