Treasure Map QP Drop Rates

What are the drop rates on these? I'm getting hated on by the gods of random chance and I petition there be a way to buy those stupid pieces- I've done 20+ of E and VE maps and never seen it for either Easy or Very Easy.

I have my Vah piece too ready to go, but alas I am cursed apparently.

I realize this is a purely whining thread but at least it makes me feel better. Thank you if you know the drop rates (and for reading :3) at least so I can start doing all the superstitious D&D dice tricks. =p

The quest piece from the VEs and Es is rarer than for the ones from MODs and Ds.

Going 20 VEs without the jewelry box is within "unsurprising" range.

I won't be giving the exact rates.

Didn't know they were that bad. Why are they held so low (serious question)? Is it to keep people like me who clearly have no need for anything inside to keep doing it for the low 65s?

I am well aware of how math and statistics works, but calling something "unsurpising" can either mean that it's either around the mean (so I would subjective say "pretty bad") or it's a standard deviation or two away from the mean which then would be subjectively evaluated by myself differently. =p

Subjective terms are subjective, sir!
 
Let's suppose the drop rate is 8%. This number that may or may not be the right number, but it is nonetheless a number I would consider "not that bad".

The chance of getting the drop on the first map would be 8%. This occurance would be unsurprising; rather, it would be better described with the phrase 'yeah, the drop rate isn't that bad'.

The chance of going 30 maps without getting the drop would be around 8.2%. This occurance would be less surprising since it would be more likely. Hearing "30 maps without a drop" can be frightening, but you are more likely than not going to get the drop within 9 maps.

If it's any consolation, I did look into the drop rate, check that it was appropriate (as opposed to like 1%), and then do a reality check to make sure the chests really were dropping the item at near the intended drop rate.

Oh, I am well aware of how this all works, since I have been both loved and hated by the RNG Gods. I'm merely venting because VE and E maps are literally boring as everything and I basically play Etrian Odyssey 3 (on my handheld) while digging them up (and/or tank and dps effectively.). That's really why it bugs me so much. This entire thread is a "argh I have been hated by the RNG Gods" and shaking my fist knowing that it's just dice rolls not going my way. As I always do I'll keep banging my head at it so that eventually it drops (in theory) and then I can laugh about it later. XD

Appreciate the checking. Can you wiggle your fingers and make the next ones drop QPs for me please? :3

If he does that Len, I hope he does it for me also. I lost count of how many VE and E maps I have beat down, with out seeing the QP drop.
 
I sense an increase in the number of people rushing through VE and E maps who have no use for the quest drop. Keep ooc informed, and they (we) might invite you.
