Recipes, trivials, products, etc can all be changed, and Tempus is in fact more or less revamping the majority of tradeskilling, though i'll let him provide details if he wishes in an effort to not steal his thunder.
The idea of a tradeskill specific discussion forum has been brought up before, in
this thread which also provides a link to the Unofficial tradeskillers forum. I dont know that we really want to add one here, as there are a great many boards as it is already, and this would add another dozen. In the end, it would likely just clutter the board up.
As far as suggestions for new recipes/dead end recipes, we normally dont poll the playerbase for ideas, but doesnt mean they havent been used in the past. What i would recommend is holding off until the tradeskill in question has been revamped, because your issue may already be on the table. If after the fact it hasnt been resolved, the suggestions/requests thread is right here.
