Tradeskills, Skillups, and the Economy

Tier 1 will be just as difficult to make as items that are being mass produced for skill ups that are currently flooding the market.(except they wont flood the market, no one would want them and merchants will buy them at roughly the cost of materials)

Tier 2 will be harder to make they will be like mini versions of mantle of the forest etc.

The new items and recipes would be a massive undertaking for someone on staff when we can just get to the same point by implementing the OP's suggestion.

I think you can skill up on a failure, it has been a while since I have seen it happen on my smith, but I remember some along the way (i think).

You can, at least on smithing. Only been a few months since I was going smithing :)
