Tradeskills: Baking

Hi there all. Let me preface this post by saying how very much I am enjoying the game - thanks for all of the hard work that goes into keeping the world running.

I've asked a few folks I have encounted in game about the "Baking" tradeskill, and have only heard "it isn't in game". I've poked around the forums but haven't seen anything addressing the possibility that it is in game (I believe I came across a quest for a 'recipe' somewhere) or that it may be implemented at some future time. I was an avid baker on live and here is nothing cooler (to me at least) than creating stat foods that can be used by others. Of course, I have a character who is an obsessive compulsive forager, and I am finding that I have an awful lot of 'goodies' that I sure wish I could use.

I appreciate any insight - please feel free to flame me if I missed a post about this somewhere

Last I heard, it's plannned. Probably going to be a while until it goes in though. On the plus side you can earn +baking gloves.

Check out Brewing. Most of the stuff you forage can be used in some of the higher end recipies.

I'm very much looking forward to baking too. There were rumors that it was in the planning stages when the fishing revamp took place.
