Tradeskill Update Suggestions and Feedback

Hello! Thanks for taking the time to read this...

I'd like to share my experience of how tradeskilling is now... I've discussed this with other Tradeskillers and we all have a similar experience.

Its a lot of work getting tradeskills up. Tens of thousands of clicks, many hours of farming, and as it is now, the rewards are very limited and not very lucritive anymore (It probably was better, but dropped loot seems better than most anything tradeskilled now).

I am a master brewer, tailor, and have high pottery/baking. And what I'm actually able to sell is an occasional Robe of flowing water, and some EQ/Superior type 5 augs. I've failed 4x with 255 Tailoring to make a Mantle of the forest, and few people seem to be interested in Imp Hide or Shadowsilk. There's almost nothing to sell in brewing, and the few stat drinks aren't really worth making.

So what I'm suggesting is additional top end special combine items like mantle of the forest or the Robe of flowing water - for tailoring, and similar for the other tradeskills, which I've heard have similar issues with not having goods to sell that have a market or are worth buying.

I think originally when implemented tradeskill items were great, shadowsilk for example is still pretty good, but with the increasing quality of dropped goods, these are much hard to sell.

Anyways, I know there is a tradeskill change in the works... but I just thought I would bump the issue. There needs to be more to sell, perhaps with items that are very rare, possibly raid only found, or less rare but still high skill to make (260, etc)...

You probably know this, but us tradeskillers would like to see if anything can be done, and we'd like to help - if you need it! Thanks!

You do realize Tarutao, the Hack of All Trades, first person to max all tradeskills, here, is also Admin-Tao, right? He actually implemented the Fletching stuff that works correctly and is all about making tradeskills not awful. You've got at least somebody in your corner, trust me. Just thought you should know.

Also, there's some cool stuff with tradeskills with the Gruploks if you haven't checked that out. I don't really anything done with them, but they exist.

An Idea I had for trade skills were charms with + trade-skill mods that would allow trade skill crafting up to level 375 or more.
Charm of +2,+4,+6 ect all the way up to 25 or something. With new crafting recipes available at those high levels.
The charms could be quested or bought what ever.
Quest idea- Making armor for your faction. Silver crown Blackscale ect..
with +25 to a trade skill will make you no longer fail on things like mantle of the forest, and allow you to craft higher tier things.

The idea isn't fully thought out but its a decent start I guess. I had fun leveling Jewlcrafting on my enchanter but after getting to I think 140? It became extremly expensive and not worth the time invested into it. I did have a lot of fun though at lower levels with it customizing gear to meet peoples needs making +10 hp/mana earings with STR ,or Wis augs ect... But as you get into platinum it becomes not worth the time.

If you are going to do TS for cash, I recommend alchemy as its consumable and a few have 4ver market. Gate pots, last mana pot and BBR. The resist pots used to be sellers but don't know any more. it paid for my 225 k charm with some groupage
