Tradeskill QOL: Blacksmithing Ingot Combines

I wish that ingot upgrading/downgrading were a thing.

Ideally:

1 x large ingot + 3 x coal = 3 x small
2 x small ingot + 1 x coal = 1 x normal
1 x normal + 1 x small + 1 x coal = 1 x large​

But even if there was material loss I would totally use this. E.g.:

1 x large ingot + 1 coal = 1 x normal
1 x normal + 1 coal = 1 x small
2 x small + 1 coal = 1 x normal
2 x normal + 1 coal = 1 x large​

I think this is a decent idea, however, I've always looked at tradeskilling as a baking a cake sort of thing. Once you bake a cake you can't take the eggs back out. Combining items creates an entirely new item so it can't be removed.

Yeah, this is different logic.
Cake logic is: cake =/= eggs
This logic is: ingot = ingot

Not asking for cake to eggs here. Asking for cake to piece of cake, or maybe cake to layered cake.

I mean thinking logically. in sod you eat the whole thing because we're fat I guess.
