After talking with a fellow smith last night, I decided to whip up a tradeskill board for all the questions, discussions, etc., that happen.

May go over, may not, but figured it was worth a shot.

So, without further ado, I give you SoD Traders.

LOL! I'm in the process of adding a bunch more styles, you can go in through your user CP & change it to whichever one you prefer.

I think it is nice. I checked it out and registered awhile ago. I will go back and post some. I am still a lowbie so any thing that gets my stuff out there will help.

I cant go mine Mithril (cause I am only level 20), but I do have a mining of 157 and working on smithing which is 39. So yeah it will be a good thing I think.

Everyone go there if your interested in tradeskills.

I'm hoping folks will be willing to share info, help each other out (sheesh, if Neiv & I can get things sorted, anyone can! :toot.

Maybe we can have some unbiased/non trolling discussions about pottery, baking, etc. (Just let me know if you need more forums) with input strictly from tradeskillers.

Come on I know there are more tradeskillers out there than what is signed up on the tradeskills forums.

It will be a good thing if you enjoy any tradeskill for you to signup and just leave your name and what trade you like to do. I for one might need to find someone who does a certian trade to buy something and it would be nice to just pop over there and grab a name and send a tell, instead of asking in game over and over (or going through the listsold for hours and hours for something that may not be there )

Sign up today! Leave a post with what you do, even if others are doing the same thing (you might be the one online and gets to make the sale).

Not to seem like I'm railing on your guys effort, but we have something like a few thousand active players, out of which maybe 200 use the forums regularily, out of which maybe 20 are highly active tradeskillers, out of which maybe 5 are intererested in using another forum.

This is why most 3rd party SOD forums fail - there isn't a big enough fanbase to support additional forums. You'd be better off asking for a TS subforum here.

I argee with Wiz on this, its a great idea but without it being part of the main forums I can't see it going very well (unless those few tradeskillers that are on the forums are SUPER decated)

It just seems like every post here that involves tradeskills evolves into some stupid troll fest, with completely non pertinent information, insights, etc., from people who have never clicked combine in their SoD career, unless it involves clicking an augment into an item.

Well yes but that's unavoidable if your audience gets bigger than five people. That's why you want a forum instead of a post, so that the effect is diluted.

So there is some interest at least...

Well, if we could get a mod to get out a THWACK-o-maticTM for trolls, and you'd be willing to make a subforum here, and you think it would work better, that would work too.

So yeah, 25 guests. Propably people that will never register, hell, i was probably one of those 25. No i dont think i will ever register, i like tradeskills but if i got questions i'd rather ask them here then there, sorry... more ppl to read it here

Do you have to wait for an admin to activate your forum account before you can post? I registered but when I posted it did so under guest. When I tried to log in it said wrong password or username. When I requested my PW to be emailed to me thinking I may have typed it wrong twice it said my newly registered account was inactive.
