Torn Dress - Erudin Defender's Sash quest

I posted this in the bug list, but now that I look at the topic heading for this forum, maybe it's a better place.

I did this quest the other night with a 5th level Erudite Enchanter - killed the Prowler Leader, but couldn't pick up the dress. Asked if I wanted to loot a No Drop item, I tried to click "Yes," but nothing happened. Didn't realize it at first - went back to Emom, and only then realized I didn't have it. Went back to get it, still couldn't loot it. Then the corpse poofed.

(Maybe it's a size issuse? I had space left in my backpack and bag, but maybe it's a Large item or something? Seems strange.)

I did, however, do it the next night, with my 6 Druid. So, maybe it was me that was bugged, I dunno.
 
This quest is broken in all sorts of ways, you'll have to wait for a fix, and I really can't say when that will be.
 
Ah, gotcha. Thanks for the heads up - guess my Druid was lucky.

I really liked the quest, if that's any consolation.... Actually, your whole Mistwoods zone is nicely set up, much better than on Live..
 
The quest works, but only if you do absolutely everything perfectly right. Otherwise it breaks completely.
 
I killed the leader, but it kept saying the corpse was too far away so I couldn't loot the dress, even though i was right on top of it. And since he only spawns when you turn in the silk, I couldn't try again.
 
Going to take a look at this now and ensure every step of this quest series is repeatable.
 
This quest *should* be all fixed up. It's now repeatable at any step of the way once you bring Anval Falkalor his supplies. I moved some NPC spawn triggers out of item handins and into better places in the script to allow for it. If you have any problems from here out let me know.

That's an interesting peak into the mechanics of why quests work or don't. Never had any sense of how things worked on Live... Thanks. I'll try to run a character through it tonight or tomorrow.
 
Yeah, it didn't really pose a problem until we added in the flagging system. Now that that's in, we need to have the npc's spawn elsewhere in the script as well. It was just something that was overlooked in the case of this quest, but it's fixed up now and shouldn't be prone to breakage anymore in those cases. It's possible there's still something wrong with the ability to loot the robe - let me know if you have any trouble with that. :)
 
Hi, Xeldan - OK, had a chance to run my 'Chanter through it again tonight. Funny, when I hailed Emom, he started right back up at "This is grave news indeed." I ran over to the spawn spot, and whacked the three Prowlers. Was able to loot the robe, but after I looted the third body, couldn't close the box. But I think that's an issue separate from the quest. So, seems to work. Thanks!
