Too Many Keys

Is it possible to implement a Key ring command or something of the like to allow for the storage of keys without taking up precious inventory space. Or maybe make a special container (key ring) that can fit inside other containers but only hold keys. I'm currently lugging around 10 keys or so as I like to be prepared to open doors without having to run back to the bank every time.

I don't know how hard a key ring would be to code. But I think a quest where you give X keys and returns a key that opens those X doors would be easy to put in. The problem is that making it so it accepts any combination of keys would lead to a huge database of keyrings, so the possibility would be to reward those who have Y preset keys with this quest.

Then make keyrings for special zones, ie like Cmal, that zone is LOADED with keys, and well, 99% of my keys are from there basicly.

I currently lug around 14 keys , a keyring was mentioned before and I second the idea as being really fucking great.

Maybe a container that is large and only allows keys to be put into it. That way you can have multiple rings with different sets bank what you don't need and only bring the keys you need at the time. Makes it a little more work so its not as easy as looting the key once and forgetting about it.

EDIT:// By large I mean big enough to fit 10 keys in it if possible.

Just my :10bux: though.

The problem isn't having 10 slot containers, it is that lots of the characters I use have a ten slot container or more filled with them. Maybe add a flag to the character when they get the key and remove them.. but I kind of like the aspect that you have to fumble for the right key sometimes. However keys should not take up so much space... so.. eh?

perhaps the keyring could be a backpack type item with "Combine" on it.. once it's full of keys, you combine it, and then the combined keyring can go inside of other containers, and works like all of the keys you had put inside of it?

bah

as a Monk, i can say these number of keys taking up all of my weight reducing space is getting to be a pain the tail ; )

any possible fixes coming?

How about an unconventional 10 slot container? I was thinking of an ammo slot container that you could only put keys in somehow. Not sure how to do it design-wise, but I'm more of a concept thinker anyhow.

KAS
(also, it wouldn't benefit rangers at all, but who cares about them?)

I'm not sure if you can equip containters, but I like the idea if such a thing is possible.

You can't equip containers.
The plan is to make doors open if you have the key in your bank. ETA unknown.

*shared bank which will no longer be shared and will work like normal bank slots

edit: when I get around to it

Please do not make that work for lockpicks. I like that I have to carry around my rogue tools. (Its only one slot anyway.)
