"Too Bad"

So I win 800pp in a lottery from a guy who is leaving WR I guess. Then I go to put my money in the bank. Actually the first time I had ever put money in the bank because I never had more than a few hundred plat so I just carried it with me. Like an idiot, out of total habit from live I put 1000pp in the shared slot. Sucks I know.

Now I know that this is a no no as I have read the motd many times. But like I said, habit.

As soon as I realize my mistake I smack myself and log on an alt to petition in the hopes that they would be able to see that it did happen the way I said. Maybe they can maybe they cant. I dont know.

Immediatly I get an answer back "Too Bad".


My gripe here is not that I dont get the money back. I was stupid and should have payed attention better. My gripe is that the response was extremely rude. I have brought a few people to this game by telling them how much fun it was and that the people were actually nice. And until today that was true.

Anyway. Flame me. Tell me Im whining whatever. I just found it to be rude and not quite what I would expect from WR staff. Its too bad really. I really liked it here.

You have to remember, we are volunteers. We're human. We deal with a lot every day. To be indignant because you received a curt answer about something we deal with frequently is a little unfair to us. It's unfortunate that there are those WR players who annoy and pester the staff, but you just had bad timing.

I'm usually the one with the polite answer to every petition, but give us a break here.
 
You are probably right.

Im just frustrated because "curt" was not what I was expecting. Just completely contrary to anything I had experienced from WR until now.
 
The MOTD generally has a message about Shared Bank and info on it being broken is generally available... so that might be why the GM in question was annoyed.

At any rate, you should probably have gotten a more polite answer. Unfortunately, there's no way for us to verify that you had the coin, so it can't be safely replaced.
 
Thank you Wiz. I figured that was probably the case. I was just hoping there was some way.

I just feel like an ass since there were like 30 people in the bazaar all trying to win that guys lottery and it goes to an idiot like me who just loses it 2 minutes later. /sigh
