Tome of Magic Mastery

I wanted to get some confirmation whether these Tomes of Magic Mastery I, II
work on lifetaps. I know there is another tome set specifically for lifetaps, but since
lifetaps are magic based, they could be affected by magic mastery was my thought.

Would make sense, unless it was hard coded to not affect lifetap spells.
 
also want to know if these tomes effect lifetaps. If they do i have to give them to the silly necro/sk, otherwise they are mine to keep!
 
Has anyone done this tome on lifetap class and saw it increase the lifetap damage?
Or even a DPS class w/ werefrog.
 
That would make sense but, someone told us that they thought a dev had mentioned the two not stacking. Also the fact that there are tomes specifically for lifetap makes it a tad questionable. This is why we decided to make a post before deciding where the tomes should go.
 
Since the devs aren't answering, I will quote what I was told: "these tomes shouldn't affect lifetaps, but who knows."
Maybe now someone will look a the code and reassure the anxious shadowknights.
 
But that would make my arrogant and confident yes answers wrong....there's no way any of the devs would want to do that to me!
