tome idea thingy

Basically i find myself staring at my fomelo and going i wish i would have spent my points here instead of here, or i remember tiering up wishing i could put those starting stats elsewhere.

Well i had an idea its probably bad but maybe not!

Have a tome one you buy for lets say 10-15k from somewhere maybe refugee maybe Erimal? That once full can be traded in for the ability to redistribute your starting stats, Should probably take something like a class tome or codex worth of xp to fill. Would still be plenty balanced as your just redistributing stat you already had the option to put wherever you wanted to.

Another place for plat to be spent! Another place for XP to go! For everyone!
 
I once had an idea for a questline that would involve players doing five progressive, class-specific quests, each of which would allow the player to subtract 2 points from any stat to redistribute them to another stat (effectively granting the player the ability to retroactively allocate up to 10 points more wisely once they knew their class better). Maybe the tome thing is the way to go, but I don't see this idea gaining much traction with the people at the reins. :(
 
How about tomes that gives +5 to a stat of own choice would cost plat but would fill in thoose stats their classes lack.
 
Would be nice for some classes for sure. Lots of high tier melee/hybrids could use more CHA and sometimes stamina as well.
 
I put all my points into STR and still am not capped. It seemed like Marza didn't like to put it on most items. Kedrin doesn't even lift bro.

Stats are so weak you can not even parse them. Also I don't really think that adding new tomes to the game would be the best answer here when there is already five types of stat tomes in the game that are almost worthless.

This would be for new and low level players too. I don't see why it would require a full Tome to do, or some silly long quest.

WoW already does this very well with skill point redistribution. Follow their lead. Pay plat for it. Have the first 1 cost like 1 pp, then go up from there until you hit a plateau of say 2000pp. Guild hall leaders could do it. This pulls PP out of the economy, allows all players to redistribute the minor amount of starting points they get, and makes the system simple.

Yes. You could fill in stats that you are low on like intcasters have low str now they can gain some by tome/tomes and they can main loot better and carry thoose plats. Or ratkon is a fine warrior but hes cha is low so he would like some more to land proccs better.
