Being a gnome at heart, I have to ask...Is tinkering in the works? It is the only part about Live that I actually miss. The fireworks, the rebreathers, the gnome only armor and all of the other stuff that was soooo limited in it's usefullness.

On the truly serious side there was some good and underappreciated parts to it with skill mods and the occassional bits of truly nice armor with effects.
 
If tinkering does go in, how about being able to tinker up some bombs? Item with x amoutn of nuke charges basically.

I have no idea what all the items were that you could make on live (though I always loved the tinkered/summoned fireworks, especially after the spell graphics for fireworks was updated) so i dont know if something like this was already in.
 
Best thing I could make was the weather rocket! Could start/stop snow or rain. Gnome armor had SoW on legs, Str buff on hands, Haste on arms, See invis on helm etc. All recahrgable with 20 charges per battery (could use gems instead).

As for thrown bombs, gunpowder is coal, sulfur, nitrogen source (bird poop!) ground together. Some kind of a shell exterior and a trigger device (maybe just a metal stud for a spark). Could be a thrown A of E nuke/stun I would think =) Now that would be fun! Range = Str so that anyone can throw but high Str would be from farther away.
