Thurgadin Bounty foods not working

I purchased the Basilisk Haggis with my bounty tokens, and when I put it in my primary food slot I don't get any stats benefits from it. I have the meditative draft as well, although I can't tell whether that's working or not since I don't have a numerical readout for my mana bar.
 
Well I can see all the stat benefits from my Krukin's Special Recipe from Murk quests, so whether it's working or not it's definitely not operating like other food items.
