Took me an hour or so but im finally in game. Havent played eq since ruins of kunark, so I dont know what the hell to expect. Tiger Musician? sounds like a plan.
 
Welcome to the server. I would suggest you try a variety of characters to see what you enjoy the most. Bard is a strong class.
 
Yea this game is wild, I seem to be all alone I havent seen anyone since I started playing...
I dont know where to go to find monsters or anything exiciting like that. Talking to npcs is kinda wierd and awkward...

Is there a map in game i can access?

This game is really outdated, but thats never stopped me from enjoying games before...

I remember I used to own this ********* Atlas thing, it was sweet, full color pictures of all zones, and stuff, to bad I lost it when I moved.

Ill try the wiki for some help.

Population is more dense in some zones than others.

Athica and Newport are the busiest cities where people hang out. Athica being where most highend characters go to get groups and hang out.

BACKSPACE brings up a map for each zone. The Mansion of Portals zone can move you to a variety of cities, though it is a little dangerous.

Is there a quest tracker in game? I know my bard master gave me a quest but i forgot where to go and what to find.
 
Yah, the wiki has all the commands. Also "/cm help normal" will list commands.

I think the journal command is "/cm journal active" and then you choose the number like "/cm journal 2". If it is not that it is something like that.
 
Also, the Vah area is one of the most sparsely populated and has no Mansion of Portals access. If you are looking for groups more than you are looking for quests, you could always put in a request in /ooc for a porter to send you to one of the more populated areas.

If not, just enjoy learning the mechanics without the pressure of groups etc and /ooc for groups after you've gotten a few levels under your belt.
