Third party program...the perfect companion...

Many years ago, I found this not so updated website with a program that helps you track your characters progression. It is a "third party program" but I've spoken with a WR Rep and got the go-ahead so here it is..

All you do is turn on the log feature that is built into EQ..

You can have the program analize your log file after you play or in REAL TIME as you play. Providing instant data based on what you see in your chat box.

IT DOES NOT IN ANYWAY EFFECT YOUR GAMEPLAY

nice little tools here id love to use them, i know you said you spoke to a GM about them but can we get an offical ok from someone on this post?
 
EQcompanion is just a data parser, nothing more. It looks at your logfiles.

Shouldn't be any issue using it.
 
They are legit, but they are a pain in the ass 90% of the time when you are trying to get accurate numbers =/

I have used others and this one is the real deal. Just keep in mind, you have to suffer through keeping all the chat options turned on. So you get spamed with data about your misses, your attackers misses and everything else "most" people turn off.

i saw on the site that it will interface with Alakhazam's if anybody can tell me what its doing to tie into ala's ill work on making my site interfaceable with it as well.
 
I've never had it interface with alak.. but I'll research it and post here in a day or two...

I highly recomend this if you are going to run the program:

New chat window. Dont you DARE force yourselves to look at the sp4mm that you would normally just turn off. Make a new window, shrink it down to a miniscule rectangle and hide it away in a corner of your screen. Then put all the things you normally filter in that window. Ta da!

From the homepage:
"If you subscribe to Allakhazam's premium service, each looted item can be easily looked up from his site"

It provides a link to the item in Alla's database so you can look it up. It would be nice to do this in conjuction with an item database for WR of some sort. There is another thread with someone creating such a database, but it didn't seem to have much support.
 
I keep a window called SPAM for all this hit, miss data and just shrink it as small as possible, and turn it's opacity to 0%. The data is still sent and still shows in the log to be parsed, and you don't have to suffer through it.
