Ok, I've been attempting to obtain one of the most important paladin spells for over half a year now to no avail. The Servant of Taraztu in Sunmines drops the spell, along with another decent, although, by no means essential, wizard spell, and a rog/bard mask. Ive seen the mask every time (when he actually spawns - an HOUR spawn in a 30 min timer zone) with one exception of the wizard spell. I wouldn't care if the spell was fairly unimportant like the wizard root is but its the best paladin heal and its almost unobtainable.

My beef is that here is the only normal spell of this level of importance in SoD that is almost impossible to get. My suggestion is to make the spell/mob less rare or to atleast make the Servant of Taraztu a normal 30 minute rare. I'm tired of waiting hour after hour seeing imp place holders or, when the Servant rarely spawns, a stupid rot nodrop mask.
 
No one confirmed or denied on these boards if only Servant of Taraztu drop both spells and not possibly Taraztu the Demonologist too. The anonymous comment of "dropped from a Raid Mob" is speculative of such.

Heh that mask is AFAIK currently the best bard/ rogue illusion mask. Sort of too bad like the other illusion masks being ND.
 
I can comfirm he drops the spell, Khalid has it.

I agree with Zaos though he's a very rare mob, there's no reason for him to be on a longer spawn than the rest of the zone since his items are no drop, and since the loot code change you can't even have friends go loot him.

Maybe the spells could be changed to be a reward given by a fire goblin quest with the servant of taratzu dropping the part for both?
 
yeah, ive seen both spells off servant. i'm actually fairly certain ive even had each of them rot during my time in sunmines :psyduck:
 
Ya, and I dont even want to see the number of times Ada has cleared that area and killed servant. Its even more sad that if it does happen to drop no paladin would have a chance. Would be nice if the spell wasnt nodrop.
 
Oh no, a spell that you actually have to dedicate time and effort to obtaining. I wonder why it could possibly be a very beneficial and awesome spell !!

I've done the camp a few times and he's not that rare, the spells aren't all that rare either. I think you're overreacting because you've had a few unlucky encounters with the camp and you're just mad you don't have the spell yet.
 
Funny how you talk about how you hate people shitting up your threads but you wholly dedicate your time to doing so. Wrong on every thing you said. Six months of off and on camps is not realistic or a fair challenge.
 
Sure i was a bit sarcastic with my post, but i also added that i've done the camp on numerous occassions and seen both spells drop more than once, and i've hardly done that camp. If i hadn't lost my old computer i'd pull up logs and thrash your ass with evidence and detail, but alas my assinine comments will have to suffice.

I think i've found something to do in my spare time, go camp servant so i can link spell over and over!
 
Zhak, stop.

The drop rate for the spell is fairly low, and with it being no drop, I see no reason for it to be an hour respawn. I'll suggest changing it to 30 minutes like the rest of the zone.
 
For the naysayers I've now killed Servant over 20 times clearing 3 times that in place holders waiting through hour spawns every time and still have not obtained my spell. Five wizard spells and over 15 masks thus far and counting. Just wanna bump this in hopes of having the spot changed from 1 hour to 30 minutes at the very least.

You're just on a streak of bad luck, keep at it and you will get your spell and it will be that much more satisfying.
