It was too odd to buglist to wr site.. it really happened at 5:20 am EST (may 16)

When me (Zutnev) and Wpus group together and kill around in Yaralith sewer with pet up (Wpus's petname is "Bonesaw").. We decided that exp stinked, and plan to go somewhere else next time we log on. Wpus gated to newport first, I gated to newport second (Wpus usually zone slower, I probly pop in first in Newport).. I popped in newport and ask for underhill teleport, and suddenly Wpus sent me tell "What the f&&&".. it begins the oddity.. He tell me to check AIM (Aol Instant Messager, which allow us see images sent thru chat)

In-game he told me "you = my pet" I said "huh, what?", he sent his first image :

and next image, he said it's Wpus's pet :

I say "weird.. try /pet attack something.." he sent me this :

I say "lol.. stay there, i wanna see", I gated back to newport, and looked at his pet.. it shows normal invis pet, guess it was normal on my view. I sent him picture:

and he sent me this :

He told me that his pet was also counted as a player, and sent me this :

He was wondering if he can keep the bugged pet thru the zone, he tried it and it returned to normal shadowman pet. Wpus got sad and told me "You lost your long lost brother =(". The End

Aye... There were two individuals of the same name last week in Western Badlands... I made an /ooc asking if it was possible for two characters to have the same name. Of which the response was a resounding 'no'. But yet a /who in the zone showed two individuals of the same name but one was one level lower than the other... Very interesting bug to say the least.

I grouped once with a friend in Warrens. When he leveled up, /who showed 2 characters by his name, one current and one the old level. No pets were involved.

I also love when a mob becomes a player... for example, I got attacked by a gnoll brute <Vindication> in Blackburrow once, he looked like a high elf caster and his name was even blue instead of teal. Wiz said it was just caused by packet info being mixed up and sent incorrectly.[/img]

I suppose it's a bug... I'd zone into The Blight and my druid pet bear would turn into a human model. It was as if the thing didn't exist. I think I could control it, but it didn' register damage (however it was doing damage). It used to happen all the time. Meh.
