I downloaded the WR patcher, and ran it then started EQ with it. But i still get the 1017 error. All the other servers work fine when i connect. I also updated eq with the EQlive patcher though. After that I followed the steps to connect to eqemu again. Any ideas on whats wrong??
 
WR is not compatible with the latest version of EQlive (gotten via the EQ patcher). You need to find eqfix.zip if you were to play, and I'm not sure where to find it myself.

hmmm, well I downloaded EQfix and and tried to start it up but i got this error message: This Application has failed to start because mss32.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

Should i try re-installing eq all over again??
 
MY GOD people dont you read? i have answered this question 4 times this month myself...and then there are the 40 other posts answered by someone else about the same thing...if u have a problem look around for 5 min and i guarantee you will find it has already been answered. thats what i did, and gee,,,i got on the server without ever posting a question lol. as for EQ fix...it says in BIG LETTERS right at the site where you download it from how to use it...rrgh...do u people go to pepsi's website and ask "i cant get my popcan open what do i do?"
