Targeting ring help?

this had too much info so...bump...would really like it if some one more computer savy then myself could figure this out
 
If you don't see the target ring, kiss it goodbye. There's no easy way of enabling it, and even if you could, the way SoD starts up prevents the issue from being patched correctly and working. Find a graphics card that doesn't have the issue and buy it.
 
Thing is, the problem seems to hit random GFX cards...I heard of problems with most ATI (9600, X800, X700mobile, X1600) but some older work... and most Geforce seem to work (I heard of 4200, my own 5900XT, 6300integrated) but some 6800 seem not to... I heard a guildie made it work with his 7900 o_O
Maybe we should work on an exhaustive compatibility list, since the client isn't gonna get an upgrade.
 
Well i was grouping in Kedge the other night and i noticed my targeting ring for the first time since i upgraded my vid card, though it was floating way way below the mob or on a wall or somthing, depending on how i was looking. So no way i can install old drivers or turn down my performance and have the old ring come back?
