Can the proc on this be looked at?

A 350pt rune / melee damage weapon proc on a caster noly robe is kinda :psyduck:.

The rune will rarely take more then a sinlgle hit, an the melee component is pointless at all.
 
Woldaff could take the buff away? Would that be ok with you?

It's a way to reduce the damage if something is wailing on you. It may not be amazing but it will surely help

Not really. And I could not care less if this proc would be removed.

9 out of 10 times casters have Spellskin on which has a greater rune component and has some FT into it. A rune proc is neat but yet again - if you can get this robe you tend to kill stuff that will rape your face for far more then 350 dmg/round. Proc is kinda neat and probably CAN save you in certain "Oh shit" situations but I'd also say it's less then situational.
 
Perhaps its for flavor and not really an awesome save your life thing?

There is an item with a clicky charm, but it doesn't mean you should charm greenies and make them your pet.
 
I tend to see few casters with a worn haste.
This might be an interesting change , like adding 30+ % to this robe. I don't think there are many other caster haste stuff out there besides the robe of the dark (I miss it :( ) afaik.
I don't kow, trading something called Enthann's guard for haste seems keke to me.
 
The proc is kind of nice for phantom striking mobs, so it's not totally trivialized, but I will agree with the fact that it might need /some/ looking at since the majority of the time any respectable Wizard or Necromancer who is past level 61 would have on spellskin for the 3 FT (But for the most part I'm going to agree with Volkov here.)

Except spell FT caps at 30 and thats achieved w/ 3 spells more beneficial to the caster and costing no reagent and not going poof on every PS'ing mob and dosent eat another precious buffslot? (in a raid scenario)

You guys seriously use Spellskin in raids? Is there something I am missing?

SB = 8

Total = over cap
 
I wasnt giving a specific spell lineup cause I dont know if necro pet gives mana regen.....just wanted to point out that any caster can max the spell ft cap easily.
 
The proc is a bit of flavor and nothing more. If you want a robe without a proc go for a robe without a proc.

Ty, now that I know that its just a flavor proc I won't argue any more about any improvement for it.
