Tanking upgrades and Qs

Hey all! You guys know me, you've probably heard me on OOC with all the LFG and up to the minute count of AAs (thrilling!)

I'm making this thread to ask advice on two things, with the ultimate goal being able to tank PUG raids (tier 4-5 content or higher) and tank the harder ikisith stuff.

it comes in two forms:

1) Gear upgrades
2) AA and Tomes

So, looking at my fomelo (http://shardsofdalaya.com/fomelo/fomelo.php?char=Lenlalron), what would you recommend that I get?

For gear, keep in mind it needs to be gear that meets one the following criteria:

1. Questable
2. Obtained in an easy low tier-raid;
3. Buyable

Basically if it's like "go to (tier 4+ zone) and get this", it's going to be very challenging cause I don't exist in a world where I can realistically commit one or more days a week to raiding. I can get in PUG raids but it's mostly a matter of luck =p

Currently I have a few targeted pieces already:

1. Exquisite Porcelain Chalice (if my VE and E pieces ever drop ;_;. I have the vah piece)
2. High Investigator's Signet (just need to finish warmly-->ally to giant)
3. Beads of Stone

Anything I might have missed would help =)

For AA, the only tank AAs I have left are resists; I'm mixing them in with the rest of my stats and also mental clarity so I don't have to med as much in groups =(.

When should I bust out tomes? Should I do codexes or get some of the tankier Ikisith tomes?

Get all of your resist AA's done then start working on Codexes of Power as they will benefit you the most. A Paladin spends the most time of the three tanks not tanking in raids since our mitigation is leagues below that of a SK or Warrior. Instead we do other things like being a cleric, /shiver, and /ooc.

I would also advise trying to save up some money for a new charm, even the 36k ones can be very nice. Charms are an easy way to gear up without the ability to raid a lot.

Other then what Bango said about resist aa's and tomes, your gear looks pretty good, aside from buying all the top end Ikisith and Emberflow droppables I don't see very many other ways to gear up other then raiding some higher tiers.
