Tailoring

Everytime I tailor it fails, even after I used points you get after you level to raise it to about 25. I even try to sew together low-level furs that drop, such as cat skin and stuff do i need a higher level tailoring? Thanks in advance for the help.

First off, I recommend buying the Tailoring books out there, it'll help a lot. Secondly, cat skins were only used for Quivers and something else on live...I'm fairly sure there's no use for them...Wolf Hides are the lowest level skin to work with. Save those pieces, as once all wolf skin armor (just regular leather armor) is trivial, you can put metal studs in leather armor to make studded leather. Then, you can use Bear skins to make Reinforced Armor, and then out metal studs. After that, there's a few different routes to go, but all involve Ointments of varying kinds. Pick up a brewing book for more info. Then around 178 or so you can make wyvernhide armor I believe. Good luck.

Puella -- Tailoring trys

I tailored a lot on eqlive, and being afraid that the tailoring would be different on WR, I bought the beggining tailoring book. The book says that cat hides and bear hides are the only thing used for leather armor. I used the wolf hides I had handy anyways, and that worked. Not sure, but the book is probably wrong. Also, I did have one success and one skill up in about 3 or 4 trys (skill up from 5 to 6). So the skill ups and success are not broken.
