i want to get a guide for tailoring with the stuff you can buy and hunt in the great divide. so far i've seen wolf skins, bear skins, and kodiak skins. there's a merchant inside the city selling sewing kits and patterns and even metal studs.. but i wonder what recipies are available in WR. if this has already been discussed how 'bout sharing a link :) if not, lets put up our collected knowledge here.

im also interested in fletching, tho i cant find anything in thurg like a fletching kit.. just premade bows and arrows.

Steenk the Mighty

shame on me..
*edit* thanks are in order to the brains behind Winter's Roar. i haven't played EQ since just before PoP and im having a blast. keep up the great work =D

If you hail the tailoring merchant, it should tell you some recipes.

Fletching currently is not in yet.

Actually I might have removed that junk from her hail text. I know I removed it from the Erudin npc. Supposively a recipe book was going in ~.~

Starting stuffs:

As far as I can tell, kodiak skins can't be used for tailoring. If they can, I haven't found a recipe for em yet. Anyway:

Wolf skins - Make leather stuffs. Need 1 skin for most patterns, 2 for tunics/leggings.

Bear skins - Makes reinforced leather stuffs. Need 1 skin for most patterns, 2 for tunics/leggings.

Silk (Crystal Caverns) - Combine two to make a silk swatch, swatches make silk stuff. This stuff can later be cured to add agility stats to the silks.

After those you use panther/cougar hides and then wyvern/wyrm. I'm on the panther/cougar stage. So i'm not yet sure what it makes.

oh, rat fur can be used for some stuff, according to the old erudin tailoring message.

I don't think it's too accurate anymore.

Blah, nope, it isn't!! And the whole ointment thing and not being able to vendor purchase it is driving me crazy. I spent 10 hours farming nightshade and balsm for the ointments and was able to get just a lil over a stack each...now I have to sit around hoping a shaman with high enough alchemy skills appears and is willing to take the time to combine them. And then i'll be lucky to maybe skill up 2 or 3 points until I have another 10 hours to blow on farming the stuff for ointments /sigh. Oh please, can't we add new recipes minus ointments or go back to making it vendor sold?

<-- Points and laughs at Ariana for digging up a thread that ended in June /snicker

Its all love
