Suggestion: New pets as you progress

I thought it was kind of stupid to have a skeletal pet for most of your life as a necromancer. So my suggestion is that pets are upgraded as you progress through the game, perhaps something like this:

1,4,8 - Skeleton pet
12,16 - Bigger skeleton pet
20, 24 - Zombie pet
29, 34, 39 - Ghoul pet
44+ - Spectre pet

Stats could be the same, but pets would look different.
 
There is somewhat a difference that happens at level 45ish I think, but for the Iksar necros, I think there are no visual changes until much later. I think this was also discussed in a different thread where the zombie is not a universal mob and is a zone specific mob. Basically, every single map would have to be recoded to reinclude that specific model to be loaded, which would up the resource use of the game.

Something like that at least. Basically, a lot of effort, more client resource usage and bug tracking would go into it turned it into a no no if I remember.
 
I think it should go skele, ghoul, spectre, four-armed demi-goth(I.E. rallos Zek model)
 
Drybone is a global model, so you could have a palette-swaped skeleton if it's that important and/or they feel like coding it.
