I recently purchased a new laptop and have since broke down and decided to play SoD again. I got my hands on EQ Anniersary, installed (using walkthrough just to be sure), patched, and attempted to play. I'll begin with my computer stats:
Windows 7 64-bit Home
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9000 @ 2.00GHz
4 GB RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 (Dedicated 1024mb - shared 2048mb)
Directx 10
I am in an area where my internet is a bit slow, but I managed to update through the patcher. Initially I got some errors during download, but re-patched all and got everything. Game loads up great, login works, but once I hit play on the server select it appears to start loading but loops me back to the Intro after a short time. No error messages.
Attempted fixes:
I've since gone through and Bind Affinity to one processor. Attempted to run as Windows XP, made sure its being ran as an admin for the PC. I've tried running without EQWindow to no avail, the game froze at EULA screen. Checked Repatch All, everything checked out fine. Hoping I've missed something somewhere that I'm sure someone will notice right away. I've gone through the Troubleshooting threads, but maybe in my frustration I've missed the one thread with the same issue. Sorry if that's the case. Thanks for any and all advice possible!
