styles with stamina drains

I'd like to request returning to your previous style state after using a style that drains stamina or causes exhaustion. I think it would be a greatly appreciated change to a lot of players in general.

if you are exhausted you cant use a stance, which is the point of exhaustion, so i dont see this happening.

A command to set your "default" stance from the basic 3 would be nice, however.

Would allow hybrid tanks to /cm stancedefault 3, melee dps to /cm stancedefault 2, etc.

This is exactly what I mean as far as post exhaustion, but it doesn't just apply to hybrid tanks it would good for all class exhaustion styles as well.

Regardless of exhaustion it would be favorable to return to your previous /s 1, /s 2, or /s 3 style of choice after styles with stamina drains rather than manually before or after the style is done with.

But, the point of exhaustion is simply that...

You shouldn't be able to "defend yourself better" (defensive) or "attack more quickly" (offensive) if you are exhausted. (As neonovas stated.)

However, if you use a style that simply "drains stamina," and you accidentally drop to 0 stamina, a "default" stance would greatly help the requirement of having to "retype" /s X during the situation that caused you to accidentally drop to 0 stamina in the first place. (Whether that was getting adds, a CC broke, etc.)

Most tanks, including I, try our best to never use the last 5-10% of our stamina bar where we won't be "forced" to drop to /s 1. (Since, with 0 stamina, you can't change to /s 3 <or 12 for me since am a warrior>.)

Thus, simply putting a command to set our default stance would greatly help in this specific case.

I personally don't think that this is a high priority. I would rather the coders work on the new expansion. I can think of a number of issues that should have more priority. One example would be to fix pets so that the mage summoned haste ring actually hastes the pets. hint hint

bloody brilliant suggestion: fix mage pets.

Weapon changing would have to still kick back to Normal style.

Reasoning:
If the 15 second style change is intended to be part of balancing, then default stance change would allow for examples of being overpowering.

Now combine the ability to change weapons without it changing your style because you're just in your default, time limit of style changes becomes nonexistent.

Specific overpowering example: Warrior. Vindicator's stance does not drain stamina. Default stancing would allow a warrior to freely switch a shield in and out without the need to consider timing of style changes in order to maintain a tanking stance.

The 15 seconds does become a factor when you have items worth switching around your primary/secondary slots.
