Still unable to log on character, been almost 4 days.

Wednesday morning, a character of mine got bugged and is in a death loop. I contacted a gm that day and put in a petition. The gm i talked to was very helpful but in the end determined that there was nothing she could do, that the problem might have been caused by a soul-bound Aego and me zoning with less HP than the buff gave me.

Its been almost 4 days now, and still no responce from any kind of dev or gm. I log on my other account and petition to see if there any kind of status report and my petition goes unanswered. Today, i saw a gm talking in the newbie guild, 3 hours after i had petitioned for some sort of info and was the 2nd in the que, and asked the guild my questions hoping hed see it at at least give me some kind of heads up on whats going on with my character. The gm messaged me and said that i was out of luck till they put in a fix. I asked what kinda time are we talking about here, hours, days, weeks...what? He said that they dont give ETA's and that was the end of it.

Ive tried leavin the character logged on and death looping to get rid of the timer on the Aego, but eventually after a few times he crashes. Ive tried castin heals on him as soon as he logs on, but i get out of range errors. Im at the end of my list of options, as a player, so im wondering if anyone else out there has had this problem and how did they fix it ?
 
The issue here is that an ordinary GM could not help you. I've patched something in that *might* work but it's a really really tough bug to fix.

Before Wiz patched in his "fix" we have had to go as far as deleting and recreating toons, so be happy you were not one of those cases (they were without a toon for much longer). Not that either situation is ideal. :eek:

I know we're not really supposed to ask for ETA's and such, but im guessing this fix will go live sometime next week or so ?
 
Just a though, if you did crash but not to desktop, would you still be counted as logged in? Or maybe a cancel magic but that might still run into the range issue. A mate of mines cleric is running into the same thing, damn shame too, only happened when he switched computers><
 
not even GM's are imune to this :( . And sadly 'no' to the cancel magic idea. We have been trying a similar tactic to destroy the buff with a gm to no avail.
