State of the Wiki: Logging in and Calling all bards!

Ok, I have other things I want to talk about but I know this is the main thing people have been asking about: Why are anonymous users blocked from the wiki?

This happened as a reaction to the webserver going down. The wiki went down first that night. It had gone down all by its lonesome the night previously. Despite frequently hearing "the wiki is down" when its just running slowly, I can honestly say that these were the first times I've ever seen it go down completely. Even at our darkest hour (two years ago, the original item template disaster) it was never so bad. The original prognosis was that the wiki would be taken down completely for a few days, so I was delighted when I woke up and found it running smoothly. As to whether or not required login is permanent, probably not. Crunchy and I are looking at updating the wiki software very very soon, and then normal anonymous viewing will likely be reinstated.

As someone who is always logged into the wiki though, I can't help but suggest people create accounts. Not only does it mean you can edit and contribute content, you can also use the talk pages or just use the custom user preferences.

Anyway, on to the fun stuff!

Thanks to darksabbath, all but 5 of the adepts on the wiki now have JI information. This morning I completed the Jayla's Insight support for the NPC/Adept pages. So first off, you should all check out the shiny new look:
The Haunted Treant volunteered to show it off.

We're still looking for Redmaw, Nalia, Traek, and Pounders (I'm going to have to do something special for pounders - I've got something in mind, but I'll handle that once I have info for both of'm.) Anyone who can help get these last adepts can add them here, the wiki, or hell, you can PM them to me.

Raid Mobs and Nameds can also be added in the same method of adepts. Hopefully our ranger-friends will encourage you (or hop on bard alts themselves) since JI info includes bodytype, and having a handy reference is, well, handy. In addition, trash can also be added, but please JI several of the same type for trash mobs to get an average since they tend to vary.

Also of note, the automatically filled tables that deal with items by zone are now switched over to use new-format items instead of old-format items. There are as of now 4,125 items in new format (but still 4,225 in old format!) And while I'm babbling about items and numbers, 550 items still need sources added!

With all this talk of items and adepts, don't forget we're still looking for growth rates and levels for expable items! Any item that gets both of those numbers added will show max stats next to base stats in red. It is yummy: just check out everyone's favorite hexdoll!

Finally, the new Fletching page is starting to come together (and once more of the items listed in the table are added as actual items I'll start looking at giving arrows better organization.) People have been hustling getting things added! :toot:

Love the JI addition Rari. The wiki is so much better than when I first found SoD 3 years ago. I love it!

woot, I got mentioned :)
Iz be fam0us now!

Though I did forget Redmaw, I'll get him shortly. Also missing Spectral Hunter, because he was down when I passed through.
