Stat Opus's/ lesser Opus's

Would the staff please consider allowing people with 50 or more tomes access to Stat Opus's/ lesser Opus's?
This would give people who have run out of tomes that do things the opportunity to have something to motivate them to group / play

If you were to combine this idea with a turn in or purchase amount for the opus, or maybe make them a no drop in regular zones, it would assist in giving people a reason to group (to collect tomes or money or to be there for a drop)

They are obviously not on par with other tomes and with this change you could remove them from raid zones and replace them with the tomes people raid to get.

With these codex changes many people have racked up alot of tomes and are running out of things to do, this would extend the games life for a significant amount of time for the people who would take advantage of this.

This has been asked for multiple times and the staff essentially made the statement that opus is reserved for people that raid. There are places lower end guilds can get access to them that is thought to be balanced (thaz)

This post is rather awful for a topic that I agree with very much so.

I even talked about this topic in OOC with Slaar.

Stat tomes and Resist tomes should simply work differently than other tomes

1) Rename tomes

Resistance tomes example~
Opus of Magical Resistance I -> Tome of Magical Resistance IV
Opus of Magical Resistance II -> Tome of Magical Resistance V
Stat tomes example~
Opus of Enhanced Strength I -> Tome of Enhanced Strength III
Opus of Enhanced Strength II -> Tome of Enhanced Strength IV

2) Remove these 2 "types" of tomes off any and all loot tables.

This should include BOTH the normal current pre-opus tomes as well as the current opus ranks of these tomes.

3) Add the tomes back into the game VIA vendor or Quest

However you guys feel is necessary would be great.

The reason this should be changed is NOT to help "people with 50 or more tomes" those people do not need help.

All tomes are not created equal, these types of tomes are arguably worthless but this also isn't the strongest argument.

With the new CoP changes (that I feel were a great step in the right direction) there is currently no "cheap" way for a for a character to work toward his 20% power gain from Codex of Power now called Codex Bonus. You could once simply pay 1700pp (?) and work quite a bit toward filling up a tome until the next one. Now characters that have maxed their AA's are expected to drop quite a bit of money on tomes AS well as binding the tomes to them in order to work on this power gain. Perhaps I am far off but I would guess there is at least some people who HAD the full 20% codex of power bonus pre-patch and now do not. This is simply because they can not afford the tomes in which they can now fill for free, even with the 8000 pp hand out.

I'm at work and this is getting long. I will try to come back and edit this and add more to it later.

Sorry, was very busy at work as well, so I didn't want to make a long winded post (plus with how things seem to get ignored or blown off, Im starting not to care... something which I thought I would never say.) I just wanted to open this subject back up for discussion. I think Kedrin's idea is good.

That is a cool idea. Also, has anyone ever seen anything offered as the special section of the logistician. If that is a part of the game never utilized, maybe that can be a way to fix the issue.

Putting them on a vendor in Erimal like the CoP used to me wouldn't be a terrible idea if something like this was to happen. Having them at 1.7k each like the CoP still wouldn't even be the worst idea but meh on talking about specific numbers.

I for one can say i know very well at least 3 individuals who were left without their cop bonus when this change was put in. One of them ended up spending 30k to get enough tomes to get his bonus back. (why the heck did tome prices go nuts anyway its not like we didnt know cop change was coming for over a month before hand im so glad i stocked up on tomes before the price went ASIBNFHEWBHBAISUBDN insane some people didnt their loss, but low and behold the day cop patched we had 10 people spamming to sell their tomes at way over priced values not cool)

The only problem i see with kedrin's idea is that most people use those tomes to turn into refugee for tokens and that would essentially put a big hole in these turn ins (if these tomes were removed from being able to be turned in) or it would basically put a plat value on the tokens (one token = same amount of plat it takes to buy one of the tomes from the vendor it basically already exists in that people buy these tomes for that purpose but this is putting a hard coded value on it rather than a player economy driven one idk if thats a problem or not)

At least from what I have seen in OOC about people buying tomes to token, the price range is like 1.7k to 2k. I don't particularly remember anyone paying more than 2k for a tome to just token it.

Yea there are people willing to pay 2.2 and 2.5k as well i typically will pay 1.7 but im also not in a rush and have other things i can work on or am willing to farm the tomes myself. Crownk paying 3k for tokens is a little insane if he plans on buying entire rank 2s those will be a little expensive (16x3 = 48K for 1 rank 2 tome)
even at 2k and 1.7k they are not cheap (16x2 = 32k and 16x1.7 = 27.2) so you are still better off paying 20-25k for a rank 2 tome then doing tokens.
