starting with dream

maybe i used the wrong search terms when looking this up but i use to play here me and my friend were going to start playing a necro/druid combo and were curious if we started in the same area we use to play back during winters roar so im not sure how much diffrent it is x.x
 
The Dream was changed recently I think, but you still start there, yea. Also Athica is now a starting city after the dream for some.
 
If you do not start in the same area use the "Mansion of portals" to reach the other town.
Using the mansion of portals is risky though, you can get snared, DoT'd, translocated to darkwoods, and stuff like that.
 
ya i dont know what alot of that stuff is im use to the old starting town and such x.x hope i can find him were both going human though so i dunno if that makes a diffrence
 
Only one zone in between the two, and both are very close to Blackburrow.
 
is thier a necro trainer in newport or do i have to go back everytime? or does the druid start in surefall x.x

ack he changed his mind hes going magician human now -.-
 
iirc the Necro trainer is in the NP Sewers. The Magician trainer is in South Newport so you guys will start in the same city.

The Druid starts in Surefall. The only druid and rangers trainers in the whole game are in Surefall.
 
Depending on just how new you are, note that Newport Sewers are notoriously difficult to navigate. Fortunately, there are in-game maps available for every zone (hit backspace to bring it up).
 
for a newbie necro, the best way to get to the guild in the sewers without getting lost is through the entrance under the Arena in SNP.... just don't bring the mage in there with you. :)
