Stances for casters!

So I've enjoyed using stances on all my toons since I joined the SoD community and I was wondering if there was ever talk of creating caster based stances. I'm just tired of /s 1 2 3 on my shaman and would like to use some kind of stance even if it were beneficial only for a few seconds. Here are some ideas for caster stances:

Healers (Shamans/Clerics/Druids)


Stance 4: Gift of Life: All heals are doubled until exhausted(Would obviously be a short duration stance)
Stance 5: Guardian: Immune to spell damage until exhausted
Stance 6: Mana Conversion: 10% of all melee damage received is converted into mana
Stance 7: Mana Shield: 100% of damage is received in the form of mana (Nice in some grindage situations)
Stance 8: Final Blessing: Mana is returned to 100% die upon exhaustion
Stance 9: Arcane Fury: Nukes critical rate is increased until exhausted.


Pure Casters (Necros/Wizards/Mages/Enchanters)


Stance 4: Arcane Fury: Nukes critical rate is increased until exhausted.
Stance 5: Guardian: Immune to spell damage until exhausted
Stance 6: Mana Conversion: 10% of all melee damage received is converted into mana
Stance 7: Mana Shield: 100% of damage is received in the form of mana (Nice in some grindage situations)


DoT users and Pet Owners (Necros/Druids/Shamans/Mages)

Stance X: Companion's Bond: 50% of damage is taken by your pet (May already be a BST stance?)
Stance X: Plague of Ages: DoT critical rate is increased until exhausted.


Obviously, some of these may not be plausible, but I just wanted to get the ball rolling and put you all in the right mind set. Hopefully, you guys consider implementing it! Feel free to add suggestions, but try to keep in mind spells/AAs that may be used and other things that would rule out a stance!
 
While these are cool ideas, stances are mostly intended for melee classes(though hybrids do get some of their own since they're part melee), so I doubt you'd ever see these or similar stances implemented for casters.

I understand that melees use stances all the time, but I was just suggesting the caster stances because I've seen a full yellow bar on my shaman from lvl 1 to 65 and I wouldn't mind doing something with it along the way. :keke:

For those of you who want to throw in the most obvious one word reply...I know I can jump! There I beat you to it!

Agree with Xeldan on this one. Interesting ideas, but I think that would make casters very unbalanced.
 
I always thought it'd be a nifty idea to add stances for casters ; but yes there can't be a plethora of them, I'd say one or two besides styles 1-2-3 ; and I'd say no extreme styles like those ones (50% pet damage already is BST and makes no sense for caster ; the mana/crit/+dmg things you're suggesting are totally unbalancing from my point of view) especially cause casters can still cast normally with no penalty after exhaustion, whereas all melees are suddenly offenseless [yeah I know it could penalize the battle clerics too...].
It could be like customized stance for each class with small advantage...based on what the idea you tossed I guess. But I don't see them being adopted, unless we backup some really good balance and argueing.

EDIT : a few ideas . I wouldn't suggest extreme stances for the reason up there, nor purely magic-modifying stances (well a bit, but not crits/dmg/healing too heavily) nor the BST one , even to mages as they are phisically much less powerful as their pet, unlike BSTs

GENERAL CASTERS : Mana Shield: good idea though I wouldn't dare suggest 100% of damage is received in the form of mana, but maybe a bit less than 50, with middle use of stamina
DRUID : Blend in Nature : Druid would blend himself in the surrounding makeing all his actions less noticeable/middle use of stamina / reduces hate by melee&spells, decreases mitigation or something (shouldn't be unbalancing, druids don't get aggro like shamans and clerics who usually draw first)
CLERIC : Holy Fury : quite similar as paladin +crit stance in my mind, would be a fully melee crit stance to encourage battle clericing/could use stamina heavily/enables melee crits and decrease mitigation a good bit
NECRO : Plague of Ages : I don't see it the same way, I would rather see an increase of DoT weakening effect during stance/middle to heavy stamina use/ increase DoT weakening, increase global hate
MAGE : Elemental Furor : some augmentation for the pet with high sta consumption and mitigation/defense decrease I suppose

Maybe it's all pointless, but it'd be cool :/

:( I miss you sock puppet. Best buff ever. I never saw so many crits, ults, and primals as when a wizard was sock-puppeted.

Bring back the illusion minus the effect. it was pretty :dance:
