Spell/Song graphics issues

I have a question regarding the spell/song animations in SoD. As a bard, whenever I sing a song, "Hymn of Restoration", for example I can see the spell affecting me, but not others: I remember on Live (granted, this was circa 1999), that song would send spinning blue circles around my group members. It's a little thing but I miss it.

Is there anything I could be missing with regard to the graphics options, or is it just something not included in SoD? I have [what I think to be] all the "log-in menu" options enabled, as well as what I think are all of the "Alt-O" options. Is there anything else I could be missing?

I've been having the exact same problem, but nobody I've talked to seems to know how to fix this issue.

Well I've never really played a bard, but it sounds like spell particles. Have you tried turning this on? There's a few comboboxes and a slider you have to turn on/up.
