Its been a fair ammount of time since I've been able to play so if this is already implamented to some degree I'm sorry for bringing it up. However I thought it would be interesting if certaint classes were able to add in specific spells as augmentations to clothing/armor/weapons to give(in the case of clothes) bonuses to resists or potentially a clickable spell effect, and with weapons it would be something like vampiric embrace or something else that would cause harm to whoever's being attacked(or add elemental type damage for that weapon).
Example:
Tolas makes a wyvern hide shirt/jacket/whatever and wants it enchanted. He would add in an ointment(not sure what ingrediants to use) as well as a scroll with the spell who's effects he wants,. If his tailoring skill is, just grabbing a figure off the top of my head, about 190 and research of, say, 100(both figures assuming 200 is your max number for training) or so or so it works and he now has a piece of gear with an enchantment lain on it. If Talace had, say, a research skill of 150 the enchantment on his newly crafted gear would either have a more pronounced effect, and if it were up to 190 he could add in a secondary spell(no more than two spells at a time!).
Not only would this add some use to the research skill but it would add a greater variety to the equipment offered by players up for sale. I wish I could give a better example but, sadly, I really didn't bother too much with tradeskilling.
Something I would like to know is what spell like abilities(learned via scrolls) if any exist for the following classes:
Rouge
Warriror
Barbarian
Why? Its simple really, if you were a rouge, or had in your posession documents that detailed how best to do rougish things(sneaking and thatat sort of thing) you'd be able to better weave garments with those activities in mind, ditto for the warrior and barbarian. Trust me I realize this would likely be an utter bear to code in since you'd probably end up having to add to each spell that's useable in the game what it does when used as an augmentation, however I think this is something VERY much worth looking into, if only I could come up with a few better examples....
