Spell level limits

I was wondering if it was possible to readjust the check for the level buff spells can be cast on other players to reflect the lowest possible casting level, instead of the level that caster is able to use it.

example: ranger Spirit of Wolf. A level 30 spell for them, but 14 for druids and 9 for shamans. The lowest level person a ranger can cast it on is 20. (I believe the limit is 10 levels, but dont hold me to that.)

This isnt a ground breaking game altering thing. But it does help when you simply are takeing the time to buff people in areas that you are passing through on your way to hunt in another zone. I like to buff 'younger' hunters that might be in the same area I am with my paladin, but often the only spells I can cast on them offer so little benefit it is more of a 'just takeing up a slot' spell than of any real aid to them.

Class difference limit is 20, except a few things that allowed insane advantages (mainly damage shields, maybe others ?).
Otherwise I understand your point, that would seem logical. But my guess is the staff wants the limit to be linked to the caster's level, not the spell itself.
For example , I use a paladin that did cast HP/HP2/AC buffs to a group of people ~lvl36 recently, and I had to use 49 spells. A rogue among them told me "zomg I broke 1000HP !" ; imagine now I could use on him my 60+ HP and AC buffs , that clerics get around 15-20 lvls before pallies, he could have got an unfair advantage.
I would like to be wrong though, I share the point with you that the spell is the same whoever the caster. I suppose this could be applied to beneficial non-buff common spells such as SoW or levitate, but that's not our decision.

ummmmm. level 1 looking to buy a temp and a kei. know that was unfair. i belive this is why in SoD. they have put in the limmites on what you can get for buffs. just my 2 cp yours hason the warrior :dance:

temp = Empower I suppose ?

Anyway that wouldn't change anything about chanters, since

1) the 20 lvl limit would still be there, its removal hasn't been asked for
2) Only chanters to my knowledge have Kei and Empower. We were talking about a lvl 1 newb in North Newport asking for a SoW, when only a ranger or beastlord lvl 30 is in zone ; the newb can't get his SoW because of the 20lvl limit, while he could if a lvl14 druid or lvl9 shaman were in zone instead.

temp = Temperance, a new aego-like buff added to live with LoY. It was a combination of Heroic Bond, the symbol spell around that level, and the AC buff.

The limit is so you can't drop aego's and WoN's on level 1 newbies to power level them super quick.

I think we understood that :haw:

The point is: why is the limit dependant from the caster and not the spell? What is the difference if a shm gives a Level 1 player or a ranger? The shaman can, the ranger can't. He wouldn't run faster with the ranger's sow ;)
