First of all, I'm new around here so... Hi! I played EQ from Pre-Kunark through PoP. So far I am loving SoD.
I got a few friends to start up with me and we formed an adventuring band as soon as I learned about them. I read through the Wiki article on it and believe that I understand how it works, but I wanted to confirm with someone who's been around a while.
There's three of us, and we all plan on two boxing (total of 6 toons in a group). We have all 6 in the band.
So, lets say one player is offline, thus we have a group of 4.
We kill a mob worth 2400 exp, cut to 1200 exp because we're grouped.
We have 6 members in our band, so each of the online toons gets 1200/6=200 exp.
Each of the online members gets 200 from the other online members (200*3=600), bringing the total for the online players to 800 for the kill.
Each of the offline toons gets 200 from each of the online players (200*4=800).
Thus, everyone in the adventuring band gets 800/1200 (2/3) of the possible exp for the kill, correct?
It appears pretty straightforward, but I just wanted to make sure I understood it correctly.
Thanks,
~Akom
