Spear of the Tainted from Versikol

Could it be possible to change the Spear of the Tainted back to the original 17/22 and make it primary/secondary/range and add Beastlord back to the available classes. Changing the hp/mana from 100/160 to 130/130 would make it a viable range item for beastlords since there is a lack of healing increment items in the high end raid game. The reason I ask for making it a range item is that beastlord dps is so dependant on procs and the double/triple attack aa's that an item like Ritual Staff of Xavara with it's possible 1100+ crit proc usually does more sustained damage than Screamstrike baton and Wardfist when dual wielded. Leaving the Spear as 27damage 20delay would be nice also but that might surpass the damage of most two handed blunts such as Sidrav and Xavara.

Speaking of high end healing inc, there's still no paladin healing increment items in the raid game that I know of..

There is a lack of useful Knight focus effects period.

But back on topic, this item is pretty subpar compared to the rest of the events loot, and is hardly an upgrade for a shaman that can participate in this event. Changing it back to SHM/BST with 130 hp/mana and maybe a proc seems pretty fair.

there was already an upgrade in the cards for this item before this post was made per Xeldan.

I'll go ahead with most of the suggestions in this thread and put beastlord back on it.

How 'bout

The click fits nicely with the name. It isnt overpowering, just convenient to have (Insidious Decay -25DR, 100m, 1 second cast level 60 shaman spell). Slight nudge up on the cha, hp, mana and resists. Add BST and adjust ratio so it isnt overpowered.

Also, if possible and not a lot of trouble increase the graphic size a touch. It needs to be a bit heftier.

Quick updated on this. 19/22 is too good for the tier of weaponry Versikol falls under. I'm making it 18/22, leaving most of the stats the same, adding beastlords back, adding the clicky suggestion, and allowing it to be equiped in the range slot as well.

This accomplishes several things: 1) The item won't rot as soon, 2) Gives beastlords a nice range slot option as well as a weapon option that they don't compete with monks for, 3) Gives beastlords a decent Healing Inc. item, and 4) Gives shaman the option of putting this in the range slot if they'd rather keep the sultan mainhand as well.
