I stopped playing EQ right before Luclin came out....travelling to the moon kinda blew the whole show for me. Anyway, I recently found out about SoD and have been reading all I can find ever since.

I am really looking foward to playing so I thought I would pop in and say Howdy. See yas in game, hopefully soon.

Cant wait to see Halas again, I miss my frozen home in the North.
Prolly going to re roll my Shaman cause it is what I am most familiar with, any thoughts?

Shaman is a good choice.
But barbarians don't see in the dark...a real pain in the ass at least in the beginning.
Frogs are another choice, but Iksar and troll regen are a good plus. Now it's your call :)
 
Call me crazy but I just started playing rather than making a post about it. I don't get it...if you're looking forward to playing, go play!

Unless you're currently reinstalling EQ or something, I guess I understand that. So nevermind, move along, and I'm silly.
 
Heh, yeah I was waiting for the EQ patcher to finish.......
Ya know...patiently /cough fidgeting while staring at the progress bar thinking the harder I stare the faster it goes.......

Anyway, I was able to light up the game last night and I am really impresed.
Props to the guys who got this working and keep it so.
 
when patching, make sure to download all expansions up to and including LDoN, if you wanna experience all the content on the server.

edit: the starting guide only mentions to patch to ykesha (which is wrong since there are also LDoN zones and mob models), maybe the web admin wants to correct this info to LDoN
