Sound issue

Hello,

I am having an issue with sound in the game, when I first ran the game everything was fine I had sound and all. Then I relaunched the game again I accidentally launched Live, so I repatched SoD and everything was good again but no sound. I read the FAQs before posting, and to fix the sound issue I am having the FAQs say change Sound to "TRUE" in the eqclient.ini. The value is already at "TRUE" and still no sound, so i /petitioned in game and they tell me to re-install the game so I do. No sound. How can I fix this issue?

thats the thing it didnt, I UnInstalled the game then reinstalled it and to no avail. Do I have to erase all the files and folders left over? Is there something on the SoD side, like should i also re-install the SoD launcher? Nothing seems to work and I don't like playing deaf >.<
 
This probably won't work but please do try it;
Working from XP, if you're using something else just get there by your own route;

Control Panel -> Sounds & Audio Devices -> Advanced

Once you're there make sure SW Synth is turned on and turned up. Sometimes this gets turned off and it will mute SoD game sounds and music.
 
If you've sent the eqclient option to true, the next thing to try is on the first screen where you see options, click through to Sound and make sure that's set to on. (models, video card, etc).

Next, load your character, press alt-o for options, and set the various sound options.

Also, in the eqclient.ini there are some other sound settings. The ones below are my settings, and I have sound, but I'm not claiming they are what everyone should have:
Sound44k=0
SpeakerType=0
Music=1
SoundVolume=0
