Has anyone else noticed a problem with the Soulbond AA lately? Several times now I have only received a single SB message when I cast it in a group, yet I get a heal message showing it cast on each member. When they die (as they often do), the spell is gone.

Specifics:

I have noticed it most often on Relic Aegolism, which is a new spell for me. Other guild members have seen this problem lately with other spells such as KEI but I can only speak as a caster on the spell I SB myself.

It seems the spell most often fails to stick when I either target myself, do not have a target, or target an individual in a different group of a raid. It seems to work when I target an individual in my same group.

There are no known conflicts with other spells at the time. I know there isn't another spell blocking this cast and I get the message telling me that they are healed for 1300.

I get a message for each individual that the SB sticks on. The issue here is that I sometimes only get one message despite casting on a group or raid. So, the game is recognizing whether the spell is sticking correctly. Maybe a targeting issue?

Thanks for any help or suggestions. Perhaps I am doing it incorrectly but it seems a new problem and not an ongoing one.
 
The issue you are experiencing sounds like a symptom of group/raid bug. Try to make sure you form your raid with all 18 members in the same zone, and do your soulbonded buffs all at once and you should cut down on experiencing this.
 
Is your Target Grp Buff on or off? if you are buffing people who are *not* in your group even if you are in raid make sure you type /tgb on, you will get a message saying that your target grp buff is now *on* then you don't have to be in their group to SB buff them, however if it is a raid scenario then you have to be in one of the 3 raid groups to cast a SB buff to hit everyone, if your not in one of the groups it will only hit the group of your target.
The raid bug is also a rather annoying bug as Tyrone said make sure you spam /dis and /raiddis a few times (go for 5) to make sure your not raid bugged.
 
Both are great suggestions. I know that my TGB is on and I have recent verified it. I am inclined to agree with the group / raid bug issue but this problem seems a new development. And it has occurred even minutes after logging into the game and immediately forming a group. It has happened both "In the House" as well as in adventuring zones.

I think I can get it to work successfully each cast when I target another member in my group. So, it's not a big problem for me. Just an oddity, you know?

As the problem only started occuring after I got Relic Aegolism, I wonder if my specific problems with SB are actually a slight change in the spell between Blessing of Aegolism and Gift of Aegolism. Perhaps I need to target a group member with the Relic whereas I didn't with the old spell.

I am mainly curious to know if anyone else is seeing the problem? Thanks, guys.
 
Well I can assure you I went through the same problem on my cleric and it wasn't a raid or group bug in any form. I even made a simular post just like this one that lasted for months in the tec support area. Then finally one day when I was in third person I finally figured out why my SB rageo wouldn't SB 90% of the time. It was due to a certain insta casting t map loot that I had equipt. It would instantly proc a rune on me a nano second before the ageo would land. So nobody including myself ever got it because I would allways SB the retarted rune proc instead.

Go ahead and fomelo Thorgauld. Look at his left wrist. This is the item I have to take off and bag every single time I want to cast an SB buff. If it's off I never have an issue with my SB working. If it's on it's like a crap shoot with really bad odds. I'm willing to bet alot of people had or have this problem off and on. Hell I even had gms checking into it for me and couldn't figure it out either. I honestly thought my character was bugged and had no hope of ever figuring out why. Untill that fateful day when I saw it proc a rune while casting my SB buff.

Hopefully this helps someone who was plagued with insta procing runes that go off alot while casting buffs or heals.
 
Take off your Sisera's Darkmesh Wristguard...

If the Rune2 procs from the bracelet it will SB the Rune2 and not the group Aego.
 
Ummm yeah I just looked at your fomelo. It's 100% confirmed you are suffering from the same problem my cleric had. Take off your Sisera's Darkmesh Wristguard before you cast your sb rageo and you wont have a problem anymore.

That sounds exactly like what the problem is. You know that rune has been a pain in my butt long enough. Always taking up a critical buff slot and now this. Hello shadowsilk wristband!
