Hey all,

So I played EQ1 up through Discord and quit shortly after. I got hooked on the idea of SoD, so I spent $14.99 to download EQ1 again so I could connect to the server :) It's been YEARS since i've played EQ1 (even though I'm only 21, I actually started in middle school :p haha). So I have a few questions about the content etc of SoD..

How active is the player base?
How often are GM events?
Should I even try and be a ranger again (omg it sucked the first time around until I got some SERIOUS AAs)?

The player base is very active. Theres 500-600 on normal nights, if you rock euro or mornings maybe half that.
The gms do an awesome job and have events and stuff all the time.
the xp is scaled differently so you dont need to worry about years to get your aa's done. I think when i started i did the first 400 in a month maybe and that was slacking too. Theres hella stuff to do after you max aa's too. Its really fun man, and i came from eq1 too. The game here is a whole new set up and its like live but better.

Surprisingly easy to get a pick up group at any level even at weird times if you do the standard
route - Blackburrow,Shrouded Isle,Warpstone/Kaladim,Heartlands/Paw,Lasanth,Sorceror's Lab/
Crystal Caverns,Eastern Wastes/Dragon Necropolis/Eldenaar's.
