Ok when I first tried to play EQ I had all sorts of grapical problems that prevented me from geting past the warning screen or even loging in because the text was jumbled and other stuff. What I did was set my graphic cards standard settings to ballanced and it worked like a charm. I have a ATI Radion X1950 Pro XG Edition, which is a newer card. Hope this helped someone.
