Soloing Cleric Vs. Druid

So at this posting's moment, my Druid will be 5% away from the highest level. That, of course, doesn't consider anything extra. I like to avoid dual-boxing and focus on soloing, mainly for the challenge. This has been my first serious attempt at the class since before 2000. As a result, I have started paying attention to controversy over which healers get invited to raids and so forth.

I have enough currency where I could probably make a decent effort at soloing with a Cleric. (I love the player shop system from a buyer's viewpoint.) However, ignoring the ease of how individual classes can solo, I would like your opinions.

Should I just stay with the Druid? Or should I take the time to invest in a Cleric? Thanks.

If you want to raid and progress through the tiers, kill bigger stuff and invest a lot in 1 character, play a cleric.
If you want to level up alts, do quests and stuff, keep the druid, much more useful for that kind of stuff.
