Soloing at lower levels

This is obviously just a suggestion for discussion but wonder if it has some merit.

At the moment it is very easy to solo the first 10 levels but it becomes progressively more difficult between 11-20 after which it become near impossible for some classes such as warriors without twinkage. I don't want to get into an argument about when it becomes impossible to solo but I believe after 20 is about right.

The problem is that, a lot of the time, there are so few people on between levels 30-50that it won't be possible for someone to find a group. This may not be a problem for someone levelling a trackbot or an alt or for the experienced boxer but if you are new to the game then it will be very discouraging. It only takes a few nights of no groupage and wiping every couple of mobs to feel the game isn't worth the effort.

I would therefore suggest that you alter the levelling equation just betweem 20-40 to enable easier soloing. This would probbaly make those levels easier in general but it would then concentrate new people between levels 40-65 so that there would be more people to group with and hopefully reduce the drop-out rate.

To be absolutely clear I am not suggesting making the game above level 40 or so easier and the only reason for suggesting this is because of low numbers on the server.

To put this into perspective, I counted the numbers on at 22:00 UK time between levels 20 to 30 and there were a total of 10 toons.

Anyway, just a suggestion

Implement NPC hirelings (pets) that are much crappier than players and take a very large portion of EXP/poof on group formation. Zaela gets to use that healing npc code and I never have to see one of these threads again.

d1 I hate this shit make me lvl 65. To be really honest here I kind of agree with your post but I think the problem is that once you hit level 35? all of the experience zones suddenly become shit compared to heartlands and you are forced into really boring(and comparatively hard) zones to progress.

I got my rogue to 45 or so solo, however this might of been when light blue monsters gave actual experience although I do not even remember at this point if that change hit everyone or just people at 65. Maybe that is something to consider?

That would work

+1 on this idea as long as it stops there. Lower newb lvls or zone restricted npc pet only. Live did something similar like this with mercenary's and it completley wiped out the need to grp except for raids. Which imo is bad

As someone who has played off and on for years on lots of alts rather than getting into raiding things were definitely much easier when light blues gave decent solo xp. Reverting that until around level 50 (or all the way until 65 if it doesn't include AA xp) would let people get to the high end areas to group without trivializing the REAL grind. Possibly alter the light blue formula so that it slowly diminishes to the current one at 65 rather than a big surprise when you level and suddenly hit a wall where you get much less xp per kill.

ehh

i have a rogue (Olarra) who would beg to differ she made it to 50 with barely any grouping in the heartlands actually i think she only grouped there once for like 1 half of level 38. she spent the other time soloing mobs and questing or did u forget u can get to lvl 50 on questing alone. there is enough super xp quests.

also there are lots of groups u guys just spend too much time on OOC looking for them. instead you should create one and actually go to the zone u want to xp in. lots of times groups are there but too busy to pay attention to ooc, but will notice another player in the zone.

also i cant 2 box ether so if a solo rogue can do it so can u.
