Soloing a 40th Mage

After finally reaching 40th with my mage I have no idea where to go for exp through 44. I'm 100% untwinked, if that matters. Based on the hunting thread here, which is getting old, here's what I've come up with:

Faentharc: I have no idea how ubertwinked I'll have to be to kill a dulled geonid at 40 as the other thread suggested. I think I got one to 67% before it destroyed me.

Hole: Excellent exp, decent loot, but you only get so many pulls before the camp is all spectrals (assuming it's all random).

Barrens: Doable, but it'd take me a month to get 41.

Edit: Greenlight: Inconsistent spawns, casters (fungus), and long pulls to stay out of agro range.

Edit 2: CC: After I figured out where to go, it worked out ok. Just beware going anywhere near the water.

Anyone have any good suggestions? I'm addicted to exp after that 5 level bout with gnoll fishers. :)

Looks like CC is the way to go.
 
Crystal Caverns is where I leveled from 40-50. If you're careful you can get single pulls and if you do pull 2 spiders be sure to get your pet to damage both of them (not by damage shield) before you start healing it or you'll aggro the other one and you'll be dead.
 
I hunted in low 40's in Sanctus Seru doing Wild Dogs/Bugs and the occasional Lego/Centurion and in the Barrens killing anything that moved.

The barrens at least has the occasional named to spice things up, but w/o tracking you may not find em'.

You could explore the blight (eb item required). I did zone in and saw mobs that were blue to me on track. With no eb though I didn't feel like investigating further. Your mileage may vary.
 
Been awhile since I've played WR or posted on the message boards but when I was soloing Gukod I believe I did CC. That place is awesome once you get it down and was amazing for powerleveling Valren and my Cleric. I think i did it about 40-52~54 though theres better spots once you get into the 50's (at least while I was playing).

Hrmm, CC is out for me. It seems to have the same problem as Hole. Just replace 'caster' with 'yellow con'. Went back to gnolls, and they're still the best out there.

I think DN is a bitt too high level for me. As for dregs... are they different than the neth dregs? I can take them, but most of them are light blue at 42.
 
In Netherbian, they are outcast dregs... In Seru, they are just dregs and degenerates
There are no light blue dregs and degenerates at level 42
