What is the justification behind this robe's ultra-low drop rate? I participated in, by my count, 37 NZ kills and did not see the robe drop once. It was the only item I ever really rooted for for myself, even during the very first time I raided Nylatra`Zara, The Firstborn. I used to half-jokingly tell my friends every single raid day something along the lines of, "Triple Solanerus this time!" -- probably to the point of annoying them after the second or third or thirty-seventh time. (I even secretly refused to link on anything whatsoever in the three or four months I spent with my last guild specifically because I wanted to have the best chance at this elusive item if ever I saw it drop!)
I wanted the item because of its uniquely lopsided HP-to-Mana ratio and its distinct look. 95% of INT casters look like clones at the T10+ range; rarely can one be found wearing something other than Robes of Royalty or the drabber-than-drab Robe of Melting Memories.
How is it that one former top guild secured at least four Solanerus robes while others have since participated in dozens of kills of this same monster month after month without seeing it once, even during those rare instances when the mob dropped triple loots? I've heard compelling arguments against wearing this thing instead of the aforementioned lower-tier Fae robe even after the Fae robe's proc rate was nearly halved, so even if the drop rate on Solanerus has always been this rare (which I doubt), what is the justification?
