SoD thru a work Aircard/VPN?

Wondering if anyone has had experience running SOD thru a work air card network, or even using a website like gotomypc*com to access your desktop to get into SoD from a work laptop?

I work in remote sites quite often and I've got a company laptop and company issued Aircard and I'm looking for something to do during the slow periods at work...
I think it should be possible as I have full interwebz access through the aircard.

Any info or feedback by someone whose familiar with stuff like this?!

Similar stuff.

I used to use a verizon mobile broadband card to connect to the internet. I now share the 3G wifi hotspot from my smartphone with my husband and we both play without issue. We did have latency issues if we were both playing something like Rift or GW2 and one of started cruising reddit or something.

I can't imagine gotomypc will be an enjoyable way to play; you'll probably get terrible framerates / response time, but I honestly don't have practical experience with that particular service. I use teamviewer regularly though and the framerate is pretty low (which is fine for most things.)

A long time ago on live I tried to RDP from work to home and play EQ. It was impossible due to the horrible frame rates. You may be able to hot key heal or something, but moving around is rough. You will be on an air card, instead of a hard line, which is going to make it worse.

I would suggest giving it a quick shot to try it, but don't get your hopes up...

3G works just fine. Even 2boxing. No remote program works particularly well though. Ive tried RDP, VNC, Dameware, even Netmeeting. RDP worked best, but thats not saying much. Framerate is terribad and mouse control is awful, although you might be able to tweak the mouse a bit. If you want to use it for a buffbot, it's serviceable, but def not for regular playing.
