SOD Set Up- Vista

Ok, let me start by saying I'm a complete newbie when it comes to troubleshooting and installing programs and such. My exboyfriend did everything for me so this is kinda the first time trying this out on my own.

Ok, i've never played SOD so i'm new at all this. I have tried to follow the directions on the sticky but things are not the same as the pictures since i'm using vista.

So far I have did step 1- download .net framework. (rebooted computer)

Finished step 2- installed the titaniam edition from CD's.

Downloaded SOD patcher- Now this is where things get confusing for me. I try to follow these directions but umm I don't even know where to start: (Select the open with option and then click the OK button.) I don't see this option any where... is it because i'm using vista or am I just too newbie to know where to look for this?

When I try to just run the patcher this is the error I get: eqgame.exe cannot be found in c:\*********. Please specify your ********* directory correctly.

Any help would be great. If you live in the Fresno, Ca area i'll give you $20 to come by and the game working for me. :)

When you start the patcher you need to click the browse button next to the source file. Once you have you browse window open click on your harddrive (c drive), highlight program files, highlight ****, then simply highlight the ********* file and click ok. Once you have done all this your source folder should read C:\Program Files\****\*********, from here simply click the patch and run button any your good to go.
 
sorry I keep forgetting....... S**y and E***Q**** do not show up. I hope the post is clear enough for you to figure out:(
 
Ok, so I followed those directions and downloaded the patches. However, when it finished it now opens a window: (i'll describe it the best I can) The top says Locate ********* Executable, below that it says Kristy -> Documents ->, the very bottom of the window says file name: (and a blank box) and options Open and Cancel.

Its nice to see a new player with a question that the nice people here can answer. It is sad when you see someone with a problem no one can seem to fix or gets upset and gives up. Welcome to SoD
